The NYC Department of Finance — Adjudications Division handles all parking and camera ticket disputes. You can dispute online, through the Pay or Dispute mobile app, or by mail.
What's the deadline?
You have 30 days from the ticket date to request a hearing. After approximately 100 days without payment or a hearing request, your ticket enters judgment status — which means additional penalties and potential booting.
How do I submit?
The easiest option is a hearing-by-web — you submit your appeal letter online and a judge reviews it without you being present. Decisions arrive via email within about 3 weeks. In-person hearings are available but don't increase your chances of dismissal.
